This report discusses the various stages involved in the creation of an animated short of 4 minutes 40 seconds titled You Ci Ke. It explores on the use of non-photorealistic approach to a 3D film which experiments heavily on the stylised and paint-textured look. It looks at the production from asset creation to animation, and finally to compositing and explores the various experimentations used in overcoming technical limitations.
Minor phases in meteorites are important indicators of parent-body processing conditions. For example, Kerridge and others (1, 2) have shown that the presence of sulphates and carbonates in CI chondrites provides evidence for aqueous alteration on the parent body. Carbonates and sulphates are relatively prominent components of CI chondrites (e.g., -11.6 wt.% of total mass' and> 10 um diameter) compared to minor phases in most other classes of meteorite and thus, have been amenable to macro scale characterisation using optical petrography and electron microprobe analysis. These minor phases account for significant accumulations of low abundance elements, such as Na, S, K, Ca, and Ni within the bulk meteorite. The fine grained matrix, which consists mostly oflizardite- and montmorillonite-like clays (3), is the...
We present a compilation of spectroscopic observations of the sgB[e] star CI Cam, the optical counterpart of XTE J0421+560. This includes data from before, during, and after its 1998 outburst, with quantitative results spanning 37 years. The object shows a rich emission line spectrum originating from circumstellar material, rendering it difficult to determine the nature of either star involved or the cause of the outburst. We collate all available pre-outburst data to determine the state of the system before this occurred and provide a baseline for comparison with outburst and post-outburst data. During the outburst all lines become stronger, and hydrogen and helium lines become significantly broader and asymmetric. After the outburst, spectral changes persist for at least three years, with Fe II and [N II] lines still a factor of simi...
This paper describes the tasks with technology inserted in a broader doctoral research. Probability, conditional probability, the theorem of total probability and the Bayes' formula are the contents of the probability topic, included in Applied Mathematics to Social Sciences (MACS, 11the grade, age 16), who were selected in this research. The theoretical framework used was the onto semiotic approach and, in this work, the tasks using the applets are presented in order to provide students a different experience in class on the probability topic. We present the didactic intervention planning using the outlined tasks based on the semiotic conflicts detected in Portuguese students of MACS and Mathematics (12th grade, age 17).
Our aim is to establish a reflexive analysis about the way in which the New Education’s movement understands morality and the way it is meant to be taught, as well as its particular entail with civic education. We offer a synthesis of the investigation, which has its base on some not vey spread primary sources of authors and institutional organs of the movement. With it we clarify the meaning and the ways through which pedagogical currents shaped, in the beginning of the 20th century, a new way of conceiving the practice of these formative areas. We also identify the perspectives of methodological renovation that in this moment arose. These contributions, the result of which are summarized in the final epigraph, have had an important historical influence and help to show, even nowadays, speeches and practices that need to be taken into...

CI chondrites are used pervasively in the meteorite literature as a cosmochemical reference point for bulk compositions[1], isotope analyses[2] and, within certain models of meteorite evolution, as an important component of an alteration sequence within the carbonaceous chondrite subset[3]. More recently, the chemical variablity of CI chondrite matrices (which comprise >80% of the meteorite), has been cited in discussions about the "chondritic" nature of spectroscopic data from P/comet Halley missions[4] and of chemical data from related materials such as interplanetary dust particles[5]. Most CI chondrites have been studied as bulk samples(e.g. major and trace element abundances)and considerable effort has also been focussed on accessory phases such as magnetites, olivine, sulphates and carbonates [6-8]. A number of early studies s...
