East Cleveland, Ohio is a city that has seen its prosperity fall into a grey period but is finally ready to forward toward a more colorful future. This once thriving 3mi2 industrial-metropolis has slowly degraded into a state of urban decay and widespread poverty. East Cleveland’s main arterial road, Superior Avenue, was at one point the commercial center of the city. It was the center of both the city's economy and its public space. Most importantly, it was the center of the inedible character of East Cleveland. This blue-collar, working class character has become lost amongst broken glass, plywood covered windows, and untamed landscapes. Beautiful boarded up buildings, abandoned lots, and empty storefronts line a majority of this 1 .5mi stretch of Superior. Because of its importance to the Greater Cleveland Area and its prime locatio...

Climate change has been one of the major concerns of the world. Saudi Arabia is not free
from this concern. Saudi Arabia does not have enough rain and for this reason most of its area is
desert. But some cities of Saudi Arabia are now experiencing frequent rainfall. But
infrastructures of these areas are not designed for rainfall. So rainfall often causes lots of damage
and casualties in Saudi Arabia. For this reason it is very important us to forecast future rainfall in
Saudi Arabia. In our study we analyzed a group of climate data from 1986 to 2014. We had one
year’s information missing, so we estimated that missing value first. At first we try to fit and
predict rainfall using regression. But we did not get very good fits. The main reason is that our
response variable, the total amount of yearly rainfall, was not correct. We...
Employee Morale is an integral component of a company's success in completing its goals. Company operations are at their peak when employee morale is highest. Sometimes though, companies neglect to recognize low morale in the workplace. This lack of recognition and reaction to low morale can cause a lack of productivity, a general unhappiness in the workplace, and a potential for lower results and yields. If morale is low, company goals may go unmet causing the company to not meet profit margins or its overall mission. By facilitating various workshops companies can begin to analyze the root of low morale and identify ways of lifting their employees' attitudes toward their workplace.
In an environment when funding for community development is declining and research is
proving the effectiveness of targeted redevelopment strategies, it is critical for planners and community
development organizations to have data relevant to community revitalization. This paper explains
the development of and tests the effectiveness of a user friendly web-application to view
neighborhood indicators at the census tract level. Using the existing literature related to neighborhood
indicators, particularly work by Galster, et. al (2005), the author has developed an application
that can be useful to everyone from planners to neighborhood organizations to neighborhood residents.
To test the effectiveness of the application, it is used to find neighborhoods of disinvestment
near neighborhoods of investment. Those neighborhoods are th...

Three watersheds of Upper White River were chosen for this study. Stream samples were tested for total suspended solids and conductivity. Fourteen percent of the total suspended solids samples were above 80 mg L-1 which can cause negative effects to aquatic life. Total suspended solids results were tested with a general linear model and in linear regressions with discharge and nutrients. Conductivity results were tested with a general linear model. Concentrations of the total suspended solids were significantly related to watershed, Julian date, the interaction of watershed and Julian date, and discharge. Increasing total suspended solids concentrations were significantly related to increasing concentrations of orthophosphate, nitrate, and ammonia. Conductivity levels were significantly related to watershed, location within watershed, ...
Lockouts are an unfortunate part of the sports industry, because they can very easily lead to the loss of games played. This not only hurts the owners of the franchises because they cannot make any revenue for their business, but it also hurts the league’s players because they cannot earn their paychecks if they are not able to play games. What is worse for a locked out league is that the loss of games means a loss of interest for the fans of respective teams. Unfortunately for the game of basketball, the sport’s top league has undergone its second work stoppage in less
Than 15 years. This thesis will analyze the effects of the past two work stoppages for the National Basketball Association (NBA), in order to determine whether or not these lockouts hurt the league’s popularity with the fans. This thesis will take a look at important f...
